We love to awaken your senses while eating, to create something new and to present traditional dishes in a fine and surprising way. On our menu you will find what nature gives us in every season. For us, high quality ingredients are essential for a delicious meal. As far as possible, we like to obtain them from regional suppliers who, like us, are concerned with treating resources with respect. For example, we have char filet and salmon trout from the Edertal, game from local forests and stone-baked bread baked according to an old recipe here in Hallenberg. We make our own sausages and jams.

We are often asked why our dishes are so aromatic and tasty. At this point we will tell you our little secret: Time! We allow the precious ingredients the right time to cook. The same goes for our homemade meat, fish and vegetable fund, of which we are particularly proud. For hours they simmer over the flame and thus develop their special character. They are the basis for our delicious sauces. Together with fresh herbs they accompany vegetables, meat and fish and enhance their own taste in a fine, unobtrusive way. Our attentive service will gladly recommend the right wine to go with it - or you can simply enjoy a Hallenberger Landbier. You can relax in our cosy guest rooms and let yourself be surprised by our experienced and creative kitchen team, alone, as a couple, with friends, family and business partners. Hospitality - this is also the top priority in our restaurant. And so we have been cultivating this for many years, not only for our house guests but also for the locals who like to go "to Stöbers", because they appreciate not only the good cuisine but also our warm and friendly service.
